Subject: Setting Softlimits

Hi Tom

I trying out softlimits.  

In the Config&Flash screen I have setup each channel, and downloaded it. The softlimits work.  

The problem is after cycling power the softlimits show the correct settings in Config&Flash but they 

don't work until I download each channel again.  


If after power up I upload  a channel the softlimit information in KFlop is +/- 1e+30.If I then download 

the correct information everything again works. My init.c program has the settings from the Config screen 

pasted into it.


Is there a way to force the downloads or to at least setup a user button to do all channels at once.

Hi Glenn,

Are you running the C program to set the parameters in KFLOP?  The Init C Program is normally assigned o a User Button in KMotionCNC,  After a Power Cycle you would push the button to configure everything in the system.

But usually isn't practical to setup soft limits until after the axes have been homed.  So you may want to set them in your Home Program instead.

I move the setup to the homing setup, and it works fine.
